AP Euro Timeline

Although chronology is not the focus of our course, it is difficult to appreciate the underlying themes of the course without a clear picture of the time period under discussion. This is why you were instructed to keep a running timeline as we go along.

Here’s an example (it is still only about half done) of a timeline of the 16th century. This particular version groups data by People, Events, and Works. It is also color coordinated: blue denotes England, purple – the various places within the HRE, orange – for Spain and Portugal, and red for Italy. Your timeline does not have to follow this set up; you may choose a set up that you find intuitive.
