It took a while, many days, many steps and many missteps, but with plenty of support from Tinkerine Studio – the parents of the Ditto Plus – we have a working 3D Printer!!! For days, a group of students worked on the assembly, the electronics and the calibration of the printer. When the printer began printing the test print – a 20mm cube – the group just got popcorn and sat their watching it in action, mesmerized. It’s really exciting.
The process of assembling the Ditto was not simple, but very rewarding and a great learning experience for the students.
