ELA 7th Grade Presidents Week

Read: Chapters 3 and 4. (Expect a short quiz on the chapters on Monday after the break.)

Essay: Dobby is an elf, and elves are slaves. More than that, they believe that it is their proper place in society. Write an essay that discusses whether this belief that one is destined to be a slave is better for a slave’s “well being”? Does it make it easier for slaves to deal with their sad predicament or perhaps demean their dignity even more? In what ways would it be better for a slave to understand that he or she deserves to be free, independent; in what ways would it be worse?

Remember to begin with an introduction and end with a conclusion.
