The Eureka Mathematics Competition is an annual event organized by Sinai Academy and open to all students. The Eureka Competition is an opportunity to test your math skills, have fun, and a chance to win some great prizes!
The competition is divided into two levels: A & B. Level A is open to any 7th or 8th grader and any interested students from lower grades. Level B is intended for students in 9th and 10th grades.

DATE: Sunday May 19, 2013
START TIME: Breakfast – 9 AM; Competition – 10 AM
END TIME: 12 PM
LOCATION: Sinai Academy HS – 2025 79th Street (between 20th and 21st Avenues), Brooklyn, NY.
There are 10 questions in all – 3 warm up problems and 7 more challenging problems.
Although some of the questions presuppose that a participant is astride with the New York State math standards, most questions are logic / solution based.

Competition math is slightly different than curriculum math. Finding solutions to competition math problems comes with experience in cracking such and similar problems. There is a plethora of competition math problems on all sorts of levels available online.
