Clubs

High School is the best time to discover ones talents and explore ones interests. Extra-curricular programs at Sinai offer the perfect environment for pursuing ones interests in a setting that is independent, inquisitive, informative and just plain fun. As of September 2011, every student must belong to a club, but the choice in which of these he wants to participate is his. Each club meets once a week during the club hour, and, if necessary, at other times, sometimes on weekends. The following clubs are offered:

Photography

The photography club participants meet once a week with an instructor to learn more about the photographic image, about the thought process that goes into creating a photograph that evokes feelings and thoughts, and to hone their SLR camera operating skills. The club members collaborate on photography assignments. All the photography club images are collected on the club’s Flickr page.

3D Printing

A place where high school students meet cutting edge innovation. Students learn how to use various 3D graphics software (SketchUP, TinkerCad, Cubify Invent) and design their own printable objects using the Ditto Plus from Tinkerine Studio. This club was only found this year and it is still developing itself.

Stock Market

The Stock Market club meets once a week to share their experience trading and to learn new financial concepts and market research skills. The Stock Market Club’s teams participate in the NationalSMS.com stock market challenge, where Sinai’s teams compete with other high schools across the country.

Chess

Film

The film club is a place for students to explore film making. Like a mini film school, the film club participants learn about the various components of film making and film editing.

Robotics

Engineering professionals are in ever greater need. The robotics club is a place for future engineers and techies to find their calling.
