History

Founded in 1987, Sinai Academy is one of the oldest private institutions of learning serving the Russian-American Jewish community. Founded by Rabbi Aryeh (Lev) Katzin, the high school instantly gained a reputation for academic excellence as well as leadership and innovation in the field of education. Even in those early days, some of Sinai’s students went on to such prestigious schools as Harvard, MIT, Yale, etc.

The personality of Sinai has changed over the years, what began as a school for new Russian immigrants has become a school for children of Russian immigrants; the mission, however, has remained the same – to plant seeds of academic, moral, and social success in the still fresh and productive minds of young men.
